OPENING AND CLOSING OF THE SUMMER SEMINAR

At the opening event of the summer seminar,the local action groups and the guests will be welcomed by Mr Jaanus Marrandi, member of the Riigikogu, member of the Rural Affairs Committee of the Riigikogu.

At the closing event of the summer seminar, the local action groups and the guests will be addressed by Mr Helir-Valdor Seeder, Minister of Agriculture.

The summer seminar will be opened and closed by Mr Hannes Aamisepp, Director of the Rural Economy Research Centre.

There will be no other events during the opening and closing of the summer seminar, where all the participants are welcome.

DISCUSSION PANELS OF THE SUMMER SEMINAR "Leader – innovation or an old bright idea?"

The three discussion panels will be held in the bigger seminar room on three different subjects under the general heading "Leader – innovation or an old bright idea?".

The panels will be led by moderators; participants in panels have been selected under the following principle: young people, leaders of action groups, specialists and some well known people.

It is possible to participate either in one or in all discussion panels, registration will take place on site.

It has been planned to prepare photos for Estonian Leader Calendar 2009. Here we are dealing with interactive team work. In cooperation with a photographer, the photos to be used for the next year Leader calendar will be accomplished.

In the morning of the second day of the summer seminar, the calendar photos will be assessed by all the participants. The selected favourites will be awarded at the closing event.

TEAM GAMES

Under team trainings, team games will take place during the first day of the summer seminar and the finals of the best teams will be organised during the evening event.

AMATEUR ACTIVITIES

In the evening of the first day of the seminar, representatives of local action groups and guests will have an opportunity to come on the stage.

FOREIGN GUESTS MARKET

Foreign guests will have an opportunity to expose information about the local action groups of their country.

It is possible to intercommunicate with the representatives of rural network units of other countries, to find new ways for cooperation, to exchange experience, etc. (also during the whole seminar).
